After completing the game with the good ending, the credits reminded me of Super Mario World, what with the enemies and everything flashing across the bottom of the screen while the heroes walk down an ever-cycling path.
Was the intro scene a reference to Final Fantasy VI by any chance ("thief err... treasure hunter")?
Namely, Locke, the thief who, several times in the game insists that he's a "treasure hunter."
The most memorable line of this, for me at least, being "Call me a treasure hunter or I'll rip your lungs out!" That being something Locke said at some point in FFVI.
Hmm... Mardek Innanu El-Enkidu...
The name "Innanu" (based off the word innane, meaning "silly, pointless, or stupid") seems to be an inconspicuous and somewhat more formal way of saying, "This character is not the sharpest tool in the shed. In fact, he probably isn't even kept in the shed anymore because he's so dull."
Nope, and you are not the first one to ask that. I have not played FFVI.
