Wow. I just upgraded to a new computer (Ryzen 3700x CPU and RX5700XT video card) and it's running on 3x speed continuously, and when I press the 3X bar it just becomes insane. I think you guys need to take a good look at how you time the movements in the game.
For the people posting about using drones: you can play all levels using collectors, routers, blasters and mortars while never moving the city. But the average time then becomes around 20 minutes if you don't go for fast but for a complete victory (i.e. all holes plugged, all ground collecting energy, creeper stopped)
@icastro I do the same thing. Using mortars, blasters, collectors, no base move. I usually do it in less than 20 minutes. Less than 10 would be a challenge.
8/3 - 20:54 RKC. "Knowing a thing can be done is half the work". The trick is to get the upgrade for 10% more power, not 20% more efficiency. Two blasters can lock down the lower influx, you can build fast to the hill in the middle, with one blaster to cover your line while you build a mortar there. Once that gets going, that blaster can keep the east side in check with another one, and the mortar will eventually stop the influx from the east. Once you get that, you've won. Eventually.
6/30 - 5:41 with 2 mortars, 10 collectors and 2 relays. Would have been faster if that last position I needed had cleared faster. A blaster would have helped I think.
4:29 is very fast. I'll bow to that :)
It took me 53 minutes but I finally defeated 18/10 :) Start in the middle, you can just secure it before it gets swamped. With a relay you can cross over to the right if you have a second mortar, which gives you some breathing space. Add a few reactors and you're good to go. Could do it faster now I think. But... 19/10 is here :)
