Arrggh! On Apocalypse, I got to the point where I was guaranteed a win, and was doing something else in another tab. when tabbing back I accidentally clicked the little x. nooo... what a waste of time.
Enjoyable game but I hav a few suggestions: Don't call it 1.0 if it'sunfinished. It needs some sound, even just a coin pickup noise. I think adding a timer would add to the pace of the game and give more risk/reward. The most fun I had was when trying to go fast.
Spearmint, it's like bionic commando but on speed. like the style, and ideas. Reminds me of DOFI's games. its a bit too fast though, and the controls are touchy
Areas is a great game, I love the control method, and the lack of explanation that requires experimentation from the player. The simplicity of the gameplay lets me go into that same "zen" state of play I got in fl0w. There are some difficulty issues, the game is generally very easy and by level 20 I'm starting to get bored. The difficulty spikes in level 10 to be almost impossible. Essentialy the game needs some balancing to be perfect. For example the missile power up which initially gives great empowerment is really, well, TOO powerful and it quickly becomes boring.
However the design, music and steady stream of fresh gameplay redeems Areas for me!
hehe, stop complaining about the grid guys, it's obviously a clever parody of Geometry Wars! And I couldn't work out where the sound fx were from, thanks PeacePave!
Nice game. Love the solid diffiuculty level. It's really hard when you have no guns. The weapon drops seem entirely random, perhaps make it so a weapon will allways drop every few enemies, but randomise it's type. If you know what I mean...
Nice... really good fun. Lots of great features; Headshots, ragdoll physics (kinda), decals on the vehicles, lots of enemies, etc. 5 and fav. Excellent game.
