@marleyslasher this is how I like playing mage: for perks, my favourite's Dark Arts Minor, but Fencer's a good option too. For gear, take Trust Fund for the ring of wisdom.
When leveling up: try to take Spell Damage when possible, but don't shy away from spending points in health or defense if needed. Take Inspiration as soon as you can (level 4), then go for Ice Blast at level 6. Keep your distance and you'll easily decimate foes :)
One more thing: In Act 3, enemies generally have a lot of magic resist, so taking some Willpower is not a bad idea.
@AngelHxH yes. In fact you probably can't do it in lower difficulty levels. You can find the score formula on the right of this guide: http://tiny.cc/CardinalQuest2Guide
@eefry08 to clear a challenge rank, you need to finish at least two of its achievements, as well as clearing all of the previous ranks. For example, if you finished two achievements from rank 4 without doing any from rank 3, they're not going to count until you finish at least two achievements from rank 3. Kinda confusing, huh? :D
@ATagToRemember no, that's not supposed to happen. Does this also occur in other games? If yes, then your browser probably automatically erases cookies, and you need to disable that in your browser's settings.
To the MARDEK fans who are awaiting a new installment, I bear good news: Pseudolonewolf is currently remaking the game! It will start over, in a new world and everything— the first two episodes (which correspond to what is currently Chapter 1) will likely be released sometime in the following November.
He posts regularly about his progress on his site, here:

You’re welcome.
Good news for everyone waiting for a new MARDEK game: Pseudolonewolf is currently remaking the game, and it will be released in short episodes. The first two episodes (which, I think, correspond to the current Chapter 1) are probably going to be released sometime in November!
@mcisaac, you have to have the items on you (in your inventory) and have both Meraeador and Gloria in your party when you go to Meraeador's house. Don't talk to him, just go to the Metal Man and press X.
Nice game, simple yet addicting. I wish it had more upgrades though. I gave it a 4/5, bur changed to 5/5 after seeing the two-player mode. You don't see that very often.
@gortholomew make sure you did everything right, and pay extra attention to the pages 8, 9 and 10. If the problem still persists, send me a pm with your ship, enemy ship and missile code.
@powerownage just continue with the tutorial, your issue is addressed in a later page. @Jonthebloxer go to the library, double click the 'Ship' icon, delete the sprite and draw/insert whatever you want instead.
