Wow, this is a really cool game!! If you interpolate every 3-4 pixels on your collision detection that should do the trick. And maybe more levels? It's really addicting though, I'm gonna get that high score!
Awesome concept!! I think with a little polish on the graphics, and some improvements with the menu (make it easier to place multiple instances of hunting gear, maybe add birds mid-level?) this could be a very awesome game!!!
Well I finally got around to fixing the bug where the scores don't register correctly.
As for the "You won" I had intended it to read "You won $5000" but obviously thats not how it looked. I changed it to "You made..."
Thanks for the feedback, let me know if you find anything else wrong.
5/5 just because its currently rated 2.4 and should be a bit higher. Clean interface, unfortunately theres like 100 other bracket challenges going on right now.
Interesting link about the galton board M3nTo5, however the principles do not apply the same way here. The Galton board begins with one nail, and every subsequent layer has one more nail. The plinko board is not like this, because it has a uniform width the whole way down. When a chip hits the wall, it does not have a 50/50 chance, it has a 100% chance of going back the way it came from. This throws off the bell curve.
Imagine you were to create a Galton Board that increased in width by one nail in each row for 10 rows, but then had 50 rows afterwards all of width 10 (actually it would be 10-9-10-9 to stagger the nails) the result would be an even distribution of balls landing in each of the slots at the bottom.
oh wow, I didn't even catch that alasthopeforman. No, I assure you its not stolen, but when I started making it I didn't spend much time on a name, and called it draw-10. It wasn't until I was finished that I re-named it line snafu. Guess I forgot to update that though.
Sorry for the scoring bugs, I'm not gonna spend any time fixing them because this is a dead-end game. Like I said in a previous post, it was more of an experiment than a game anyways.
Yea I realize theres no re-playability :-/ Not expecting to much from the game, it was more of an experiment than anything. I hope some people have fun playing it though!
Thanks for all the feedback so far. I've tried to look into the bugs but I can't seem to replicate any of them. I think it might have something to do with the version of flash you are playing on. I'll keep looking though and update if I fix anything. There will probably be a version 1.5 or version 2 with pre-determined levels so that luck is not as big of a factor, and I'll test it far more to work out any bugs. Let me know if theres anything you want to see in version 2! Thanks
sodaclarkkent, I have a feeling that might be happening for others as well. If the game doesn't work for anyone could you please post here or send me a whisper saying which version of flash you are running?
And thanks to everyone so far for your feedback!
