Sep 25, 2008 8:18am Okay … here goes … At the age of 3 you start Nursery School. You then change schools and go to Secondary school where you start in ‘1st year’ when you are aged 13. Otherwise, you can stay at school until you are 17 (and in 5th year) or 18 (and in 6th year). After this, you can go to University (who dont accept people under the age of 17), College (who dont accept people under the age of 16) or you can go into employment or whatever, So really, you can leave school from the age of 16.
