Brilliant game! I do wish there was a level selection screen. I also wish there was just a brief description for each new puzzle type of how to work it. The yellow paddles on the last two levels took me a while to figure out. But over all it was awesome! 5/5
Left path for grenadier, right path for recon, put the rest in money, then specials. Use only grenadiers, with one recon at each enemy entrance. Use left grenadier upgrade path and right recon path. Win.
I believe the best upgrade is laser. If laser is not available, choose shield. If neither of those are available, get fuel to level 4 (then you only need one), grabber to level 3, and get Support Call. Use Support Calls to beat bosses. Ignore all other upgrades, especially rocket. With a row of shields in front, one fuel, 4 Support Calls, 2-4 grabbers, and everything else lvl 6-9 lasers I'm breezing through the game - currently level 17.
The enemy attacks me, but its ships just sit there. After 10 turns of them not moving I should automatically win. I should not have to leave my defensive position to attack them.
I really like the RPG aspect, but dislike the town micro-management and the hour-long waits to do anything. Make an RPG where the items are dropped and there is no town except a shop and I will play it through to the end.
Best Legendary strategy I've found: 2 Shield Maidens per row to stop initial assault and then spam scouts on all rows. Send Lancers for full waves. Send more Shield Maidens if a particular row is struggling. Never use ranged - it just slows your victory.
Excellent game! I would like to see some challenge levels or a survival mode or something. A random mission generator if possible would also be awesome. If you had those things I could play this game for months!
I really like this game, but I sure wish I had more control over what heroes showed up for hire or what units they had. It would be particularly nice to be able to choose your starting heroes.
