Walkthrough here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Con2AkwGT8 remember you can change the playback speed in the cog menu. Also can hold period '.' for "slowly play forward, and hold comma ',' for "slowly rewind'.
Level 7: Get double jump. Go right to get the Teleport. Fall down and left on top the wall above the middle chest. Teleport left to get left chest. Drop down to bottom platform and teleport right to get middle chest, then rightmost chest.
For anyone having trouble with opening the locked cupboard in the director's office, you need to place the little side table in the spot for "missing furniture" and then "set it in place".
You can sell the parachute (or any other upgrade) by clicking it. In my opinion, don't buy the parachute until you have enough money to buy that whole tech branch so you also get "rump roast"
level 19: drop a leg on the *ground* on right side of the green bar. Drop everything else on left side of blue bar. Roll your head left and into the cannon, which spits you up and left into the sticky. Chain reaction causes green, then red buttons to push and hat gets fired up into the sticky with you.
Tip for the final level. Drop an orbital next to the anti-air (AE) tower and you'll have time to nullify it before the creeper overflows that area. Makes it possible to bomb the bigmomma emitter in top left of map. Meanwhile, drop the other orbitals to fort in map's lower right corner and immediately build some relays to nullify the closest emitter to north entrance for good mortar location. Then capture the emitter northwest of fort. Now you're in a strong defensive position to build up your forces before slowly claiming the rest of the map.
Gah... I've been using Creeper:evermore hotkeys for so long. I just "know" "x" destroys currenty selected, 1=collector, 5=reactor, etc. It's making playing this game really tricky.
1. Buy Eagle eye, Lockpick, Bow. (Max these asap)
|2. Buy Engineering I.
|3. Scout to find the masters. Don't worry about losing an area once you've found a master there. Just focus on keeping one area (with a mine) to be your base.
|4. Get Master of War (by completing all 4 tasks listed on his window).
|5. Max Engineering, Grab
|6. Max Agility, Stamina, Mercenaries, Thunder, Rage
|7. Max the Tower and Tavern in your home base. OK to upgrade mine to level II but don't max it before either of the other ones.
|8. Once all are maxed, grind the fairgrounds until the threat is zero and you lock the region.
|9. Handle each of the other regions the same way: Max Tower/Tavern, then Mine, then bring threat to 0
|10. One other tip: use "Grab" and "Poison" as much as possible during the "defend the ____" missions. In particular, Grab as many bosses as you can.
Note that you "leave the mercenaries at the tavern" by going to the equipment screen and clicking the icon next to each mercenary. This helps a lot during the "upgrade the guards" missions at the tavern.
I can't believe I keep coming back to this game hoping that maybe THIS time I can beat the final boss. I have never ragequit a game more than this one.
Fun game, gets a bit repetitive after a while though. Would like to give my helpers some of the better weapons we find. Even with all 6 shooters with level 3 shooting they have a very low rate of fire and does not seem very effective.
Full text of the note if you can't find them all: I first encountered this phenomenon in the early 80's, but it would seem They have existed since the dawn of the human race. Commonly known as the Night Folk, or Shadow People, they live in the realm of dreams but deserately want to get to our realm, by possessing vulnerable, unoccupied bodies. As long as you don't know you are dreaming, you are safe... They attack when they sence a mind detached from its body, which sometimes happens during comas, but much more often during OOBEs and Lucid Dreaming.
Buy things in this order: Stamina, Logistics, Shotgun, Grenade launcher, Small Arms, Battle Experience, (optional) minigun, First Aid, Extra ammo, Inspiration, Rocket Launcher, Drilling, Big Guns, Auto rifleman, AA specialist, War supplies, Nanobots, Armor, Salvation. Don't buy Grenadier you can do the "kill with grenade" missions with rifleman. don't buy jeep until you have TWO "travel in vehicle" missions.
"I'm a thief who stole many women's hearts." => There is a gap in the ceiling you have to climb through. You can stick to the left wall so you have to jump Up+Right, then press left to move back over and grab on. Repeat until you climb up above the top of the screen. Then jump right and walk to the right edge of the screen.
Took me a long time to figure out that you can sell items too. So when trying to get "kill boss without being hit" medals, sell your treasure magnet and buy another gun. For me, the second boss was harder than the other 3 (I have trouble dealing with things moving in spirals). Sold my magnet and ended up with best gun, best rapid, and 2nd-best gun. At that point the bullets were strong enough to destroy those circling shields.... medal achieved.
Thanks!
