I enjoyed this game up until midway until the levels were changed into endurance matches. The upgrades are bland and should be reconsidered. The 'hit box shrink' upgrade doesn't give any clear indication of how much it affects you (Did it also affect the monsters??). The werewolf pet is only ever good for taking out the mini-slimes. The only pets that really makes a difference are spirit and dino. The cat should be more considered a % chance to avoid damages, which would be more on-par with 9-lives. Also, it's subtle, but you make the entire screen flash when explosions go off. This is unnecessary and could trigger seizures in just the right person.
I absolutely love this game but there's one thing that keeps messing with my head. It's how the sound effect for 9 plays purposefully off key to all of the other tones.
Movement issues summarized: 1: Ship moves and then kind of awkwardly hovers over your mouse, fine movement and aiming is not entirely easy unless you're staring at your ship. 2: Too often will you lose control of your ship because you tried to compensate for movement issues while trying to get notes in the corners of the screen. To fix this you should hold down the left mouse button at all times. 3: No arrow key movement, this is a must have for this genre of game, especially for the bad mouse control you have. Game however is a 4/5. Please upvote this if you found this information useful.
Upvote this if you have this problem: You mute sound, restart a level or go to a new level and plays music. When you un-mute audio it plays a second sound track on top of the first one and makes it impossible to mute the other sound track.
You know it's a broken game when you can win every level using the beginner paladin deck.
Step 1: load up on gold, 8 peasant cards, firestorm, 2 parting gifts and 1 diamond mine, maybe 2 if you have bad luck. Step 2: Max gold production and occassionally spam peasants to block your portal from receiving hits. Step 3: hit parting gift, spam spam spam. Either your peasants will make it to their portal or they will die trying, and either way, every peasant you fire off will be a point against them. No matter what they will not spam 100 units back at you, and if they do, it will be a push back to your point. This will often win in less than 3 minutes every game.
This is amusing. I tried a test run and found that I had taken more actions that resulted correctly whenever the odds were around 15%, but often lost scavengers to missions with odds at 2%. I'm now considering the % chance of anything happening to be more of a suggestion than a real world value.
Music appears to be a shortened remix of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpUZYWX2BoY
Around the 30th second mark and up you can hear strong similarities in case people were wondering where it originated from.
It's a sad day when Kongregate whores itself enough to endourse a game that just doesn't work right whereas there's millons of other games that work well, play great, and doesn't come off as such! ^^
Good game, however the most embarresing thing you could of done was make enter, which is a standard key used for continuing and such by default, one to open a pop-up. I've rated it a 1 just for that simple problem.
DeepfriedSushi, you're wrong. Close, don't use cannons, there are a chance your cannon may knock the invisible goblin behind your ranged where he can have all the fun he wants. Use this for the best chance. Mermaids, Witches, Dwarves, Goblin Demolition, Centaurs and Succubus. Don't use phoenix unless he's about 33% of the way away from your castle otherwise the nose of the bird will knock him towards your castle and once again, over your range. Same goes for the huge meteor attack. Avoiding that should ensure. Also, keep your units together until you have about 20 dwarves, and make sure you keep your goblin demolition handy in case he does slip, they'll knock him towards his castle anytime he pops one. Once you have your troops setup at his door, just let them rip.
Another game ruined by the kongregate API. Playing it on three seperate vista machines, 1 xp machine, and for some reason the chat api forces keys to either become held OR to be ignored at random intervals, making it impossible for precision gaming to occur.
This game unfortunately suffers greatly from the new Kongregate API interface upgrade. It intruduces sticky key issues as well as random cases of ignoring pressed keys. Play this game on the op site if you are having this issue.
This game is suffering from the new Kongregate interface API. The API has introduced random sticky keys and unfortunately causes it to hold down a key even long after you've let go preventing precision playing of this game. To rectify this issue, go to the OPS posted website of the game to play it without problem.
I would say this game was amazing except that it's far too short. There's nothing fun about a demo that leaves you hanging. I've rated this a 1 because it's a demo and is probably making money off of Kongregate's site from the ads as well as your pocket book.
This game unfortunately suffers from the new Kongregate API upgrade. Occassionally you'll find that certain movements are being held down at random times, making it an unpleasant gaming experience when you're a precision gamer. Try playing this game on the op site and rate it here, you'll notice that stickyness is no longer there.
