Loving the game; currently level 38. Desperately need better sales management of unwanted artifacts. A away to automate fights/spell rotations would be great too, but just as a QoL improvement. Looking forward to seeing what you make of this!
Strange how some people complain about the difficulty. How few people really remember how hard NES and Gameboy titles were? I feel so old now. Great job, AdventureIslands!
WASD controls work for steering, so controls are not as bad as most reviews make them out to be. Short and fun game. Probably won't play twice, though.
I'm all for simplicity in gaming, as I truly believe that to be the key to a fun game. That being said, this game just doesn't have "enough" for me. Controls being as they are, the timer on combos is just too short. If you are heading at an asteroid straight on, it can be difficult to predict which way the reaction landing is. Get it wrong, and you likely wont have the speed to continue your combo without immediately jumping ship, and then you are stuck slowly floating through space while the sun catches up to you? Accidentally did a sun dive? GG. Furthermore, while the music is pertinent to the plot of the game, it just doesn't really fit well with the game plays. Perhaps if the music did not end on death and restart every attempt it would have a better flow and add to the ambience, but, as it is now, it just doesn't seem to be a good fit. This will unfortunately be a game I don't chase down all the badges for, because I just don't enjoy playing it enough.
