The sheer joy from reading this game alone is incredible. "I will smile when all the people in the world are dead and god shoots himself in the head for creating us." May possibly be the best thing Ive ever read.
This game isnt actually meant to be won is it? 31% seems to be the highest I can reach. Yes Im sure the % is higher after doing the last forest but since theres no save point or any way to escape from it I wouldnt know. So are we really suppose to be stuck in that forest? After I kill everything and walk to the right Im back at the base camp but the stone only moves one and thats not enough to get me out of there. You catch alot of flak for the messed up parts of your games so I wont bother elaborating on that further. I will however say this, I like the games you make. Flawed as they are I just really like games like this. What I dont like is there not being some kind of definite end.
Still working on getting through the game but I have noticed some things that are probably worth mentioning. Thus far I have encountered a chest that cant be opened as there is no room at the bottom of the screen and if you walk up from the screen below it still wont let you open it and you wind up walking over the chest. In roughly the same area there is what appears to be a tree house which you also can not go in. While exploring the waters I went above the graveyard and in the top left corner next to one of the labyrinths there is a path that leads to the white screen of nothingness from which you cannot move and thus must restart from last save point. Finally so far Ive noticed that after about 2hrs of playing the music cuts out but that has only occurred once. More when I do finish.
I really meant that to sound better than perhaps it does, I like that its possible to 'lose' that isnt in everything. And honestly the animations didnt bother me just a bit more in length and a bit of depth, perhaps make it slightly more obvious where you can click in each room and this would receive much more appreciation from a broader audience. Keep up the good work!
When I read that you had to click on things to save your brother I was thinking it was similar to some of the locked room escape games. This is short, definitely room for expansion.
My problem seems to be that the server buttons are now functioning as reload buttons. In a way its almost fun to see all the ways these things can mess up. Remember, if you must fail do so in a way that makes people wonder how you managed it.
I find it funny that everyone has lit up their keyboard making comments about sir and sir but no one has said a thing about madam and madam, was it too difficult for you to keep moving the two blue hearts to discover that the next level was madam and madam? Or is it just simply double standards? Social relations and perceived implications aside, as a puzzler it reminded me of hello worlds and would have been nice with a few more levels as the levels included are very good.
I like the rpgs you come out with, as a game its very good. Some useability improvements like the zoom feature might be nice but not neccesary. What I really want to say is my disappointment stems from this only being 1 part and not waiting to finish part 2 before release. And that as many others have stated the amount of material used from the loz gb games is a bit disturbing to me because I do feel you put out good work and that this game shows how your work continues to improve. Really looking forward to part 2 and other rpgs from you!
Thanks! I really appreciate it! I've read lots of programming books, and I'm finally making something decent, lol.
