after about 50 minutes of gameplay, Ive discovered that once you have about 1200 available souls, you can place them by holding spacebar infinitely. By the time you have somewhere past 1k down, they start to die, and replenish your stocks. You always get at least one soul each back, so as long as any of them get promoted, you have an infinite, and growing pool of souls. So, you could at that point, put a book on your space bar and go AFK sandwhich, I'm thinking about leaving it overnight... Note that you can continue to click and buy upgrades with the spacebar still spawning guys.
