Weapons and Upgrades: Just use the turbolaser. You can put up an armored ceiling, and layer row upon row of turbolasers sandwiched vertically between mines and generators below that. Turbolasers are relatively weak, but perfectly accurate, and since you don't have to replace your guns after they take too many hits (only replacing the armor blocks in the ceiling, you end up accumulating large amounts of turbolasers. So get the turbolaser, mine, and power generator blocks, then max out all laser related and block-health related tech trees. Then you are set as long as you keep a roof over those turbos. In the very late game, get death ray tech, since you'll be laying enough mines/power generators to put multiple death rays on the roof. Then you sit back and watch all enemies die in a storm of red and green laser fire. I killed the Ravager Queen final boss in seconds :D
