It does need to be more immersive, I can agree with everyone else. For a 6 year old game, it's not bad, but a newer version is needed. Because it'd be pretty damn cool. I just want to watch my people slowly die. One... by... one.
I was tempted to use a walkthrough, but once you notice what one hint is, the rest fall into play. You just have to condition yourself to finding them, really. Decent game, though. 4 stars for the decently original concept and decent design.
Okay, this really needs a sequel. Maybe even just an update. I kind of want an option to cast aside my sword and continue to help Malor. I want my power! Even though I can kind of shoot lightning from my fingers and won't ever age... but regardless!
I only died 3 times. Once in the tutorial, where everyone dies, once in survival on round 24, and once during the Final Battle. The Blessed ability saved me both times! Haha.
I crushed the boss and beat the game with no problem, but I didn't a single achievement! I hit OK when I was done, and - nothing! Total score of 2,000 some-odd!
This was an interesting change over the original. Although some aspects of the plot were reused, the more interactive features, including even naming one of the characters from the previous game, made it interesting. Although I think some decisions should have been mandatory, there is only one ending, and those decisions would have completely changed the game. It would be interesting, though, to have multiple endings if another game is implemented, as to turn the game from always nice and happy in the end to even, although not the cannon of the line, for you to possibly end up dead from your actions - good or bad. Overall, though, the music, depth of characters and other aspects it holds similar to the original game, Home, lands it at a 5 for me. Good work.
Although it was short, it was a very heartfelt game. I chose the options which were kinder, such as healing the daughter and letting the thief go. If something to the effect, but larger and with more options, good and bad, were actually sold, I'd buy it in a second. It was very well made with a lot of time and thought obviously put in. The graphics, although not great, are made up for by the plot and depth of the characters. There was a good bit of humor strewn in there, too. Overall, it earned an easy 5 stars from me. Great game, very well done.
Haha nice!
