1/5 - the skill level ramps up like crazy for no apparent reason and before you can level up your character. Luck based it seems. And with barely any explanation of what different tomes, traps, etc do you find yourself doing fine then all of a sudden dead. Waste of time.
Pretty disappointing. Way too grindy, not nearly enough action or variety once you start getting to about 50k feet in distance, even worse that items you buy aren't usable by all the characters, money AND xp is a brutal grind and just too boring to follow through with to even max one character.
Not to jump on the bandwagon, but it really adds to the grind and takes away from the little fun that this game potentially has when you replay levels for ONE THIRD the loot... extra little slap n the face. And NO, you can NOT have my money!!
Super frustrating. Game going well, then all of a sudden I can't move my character, mouse will click on things and descriptions come up, can open character screen, timer still running, but character won't move or fight. 2/5 stars for a glitch that causes you to have to restart from scratch with no kind of save. First two times it happened I restarted, but too frustrating to try again, so no hard badge for me, and no good rating for you.
"your progress is saved at the end of each day" ... after winning the volcano tournie with over 11k gold and a full team of Garuga, Groking, Thundaga, and Jolkleaf, computer freezes. Reboot, load Kong... only save file is from yesterday after the tutorial... wtf. 1/5
Huge memory leak, lag catches up to you BAD. A complete waste to call this a asequel, don't bother playing it, not even enough levels to get half way through the armory or even unlock enough levels for all upgrades. GARBAGE, SHAME ON YOU LAZYASS DEV.
The game often just freezes/stops when in the middle of battles. VERY frustrating sometimes! Also, the mechanist/illusionist powers seem weak, or at best equal, to the generic powers. Since they are your specialty, they should be a little more exaggerated, no?
So when the hard badge doesn't work, beating the game on hard difficulty, what are you supposed to take a screenshot of? I took one of my blank quests screen, and one of my saved file that shows I played it on hard. Is that enough?
How do you change Juliet from A to S and what does this mean? I have a Juliet A and can't get the hard badge, and a Juliet S is recommended for the hard badge.
Once you have enough starting money, upgrade ship, buy max gold/loot and max cannon. Then upgrade, then max sail, max rate of fire, then the multi upgrade if enough money left over.
A little tweak on xenoshadow and harvestsun's strategies: Max crew, but instead of maxing speed, throw a couple points in there but max damage first, with 1-3 points in turning (just enough to keep you where you want to be). Why? Because, when you close with a fighter your size or larger, nail him with all your cannons. All of them should hit if you're broadside with him, and it will reduce his crew, saving your crewmen. Max reload and speed alternatively, whatever you feel you need more of, and no more than 3 points in turning, and NONE in armour. For every level you get 100% accuracy, you get 1000gp x level, so level 4 you get 4000gp, lvl 5 you get 5000gp, etc. which is why this strategy is better than no shooting at all, like xenoshadow said.
My first comment says "under rating threshold" and under the -/+ I have -10... I was mentioning a glitch in the game, why the hell would that be rated -10?
Awww, wtf!! I had the imperial card that's a flyer, wait 4 turns, heals imperial, looks like a jet, and I clicked it to add to a deck, nothing happened (lagging I guess) so I clicked it again and it disappeared from my deck!! How do I report that, anyone know? Thanks
Just spent less days to finish the game, and you'll get a higher grade of Juliet ;)
