I usually suck at SHMUPs, but these are fun. The number of upgrades you can use seems aggressively small compared to the number to choose from, though.

long load time -1 star, glitchy controls minus 2 stars, overall, 2 stars.

is it supposed to be impossible to steer, or has my computer got the gremlins again?

despite this being more fun than the other Kongregate MMO's, this is still quite non-interactive. Battles are "push button, win game"

how d'you get your money out of the game's bank? Or is it important?

Unlike most of the other mummorpugers on Kongregate this is genuinely enjoyable.

found a bug, I'm figting the first boss, just about killed him, and Bam, I'M the one who dies.

Now this is what Kongregate is all about. Simple but fun and addicting gameplay, minimal "pay-to-play," and at least 3 badges.

It would be nice to have a power plant upgrade that adds like, 10% to your beam power/spread/recharge, and shield power/recharge

May I suggest being able to purchase Upgrade points for in-game currency?

Once you've built up a critical mass of turrets, there's very little that can get you.
