I've played Deponia 1 and 2 myself. Just discovered the 3rd game is out and I'll be getting my hands on it soon. The games are HIGHLY recommended. Great fun and a great laugh.
However, DAEDALIC, you really should have mentioned that this browser version is a demo. That's what people are complaining about- not the fact that it is a demo, but that you didn't make it clear that it was one. Even the word"DEMO" somewhere would suffice. The description, as it stands, is just a summary of the game's story and makes it look like the browser version here is the full game.
GAH! I've gotten to top floor, tripped the old lady and made the girl in the green dress dance, but I can't make the guy move to his girlfriend. I think there's a bug!
@quicksailor: in games like these, where you have to click things in right sequence, it is usually a good idea make the the item/people that are interactable (aka clickable) more obvious, such as they light up or the cursor changes, because otherwise the players end up clicking every single item trying to figure out what to- with so many possible items to interact with, and no idea which ones actually are interactable, it's hard to figure out where to start.
There's a little tiny glitch- at the dig site, where Harbach and Ashcroft are, if you click in just the right spot, you can get Heather to walk halfway across the river. She just stands on the middle of the water. I haven't been able to reproduce it, but it definitely happened once. (ironically her response to clicking on the river is that she can't walk across it.)
LYPSAK - You missed a step. I'm guessing you got to the part where you electrocuted the guy and he's against the wall. You probably thought he was dead then, but he's only knocked out. There's one more step.
Answer: click on the gun to shoot the guy and end the chapter.
