I love the original creeper-world because of the map play - creating and defending a network. I actually liked the requirement for maintaining supply lines. In terms of execution, this is a big step forward from the previous games. In terms of gameplay design, I think it's a step back. 3/5
the control scheme in which driving and leaping are the same button is the only difficulty in the game, you're really just fighting a bad control scheme :/
You can REVIVE your companion by SAVING and LOADING the game (without leaving the room where they dropped). Confirmed! Please +++ this so others will see!
Work-Around to revive companions: without changing rooms!!! Attempt Revive w/ G (?) - Save(?), Save&Quit, Continue. Companion Revived!
(?) indicates questionable steps that I didn't test. Always followed them anyway after it worked once.
The double click select-all ruined so many of my attempts by moving carefully positioned troops that I can't give the game more then 2/5 - it's just too damn annoying to play.
1/5 Because I despise games that screw the new player and give them no alternative but to feed deaths to veterans in the small hope of gaining a lucky point. The only map hosted right now for dogfights is a boring sea-scene with no terrain to work with - no clouds, no ridges, not even the oil rig you see in the distance. Machine Gun vs. Rockets -> Knife to a Gun fight.
If you have a problem completing the sniper challenge for the Hard Badge - don't cry - try harder. Employ a system / pattern to minimize aiming times, and make sure you have a comfortable mouse setup.
Stupid that you can't reset deaths in any way - the keys got stuck on movement and I died repeatedly until I managed to shut down the window. Bad design to not break input after a death.
tiri23's method is close but not good enough. Without a screen-wiping spell you end up getting choked by the casters that get harder to reach, or just a large spawn of them. Even maximum-upgrades on Fireball stop being efficient when the field is filled with foes.
It's actually quite difficult to reach 600+ with his method - very easy to get overpowered at 550~ range.
Finishing the game on Hard the game gets stuck after the final level - you don't see the "ending" or get back to the menu.
Hard difficulty upgrade path -> SMG -> AK -> AK Maxed Upgrades -> Gauss
You will need 1 level of turret before getting Gauss, and 1 level of Heli can be fine.
Perks: Geek Maxed -> Sharpshooter -> DeathCraft -> Reflexes 1 -> Bloodthirsty 1 -> Rifleman -> Max Reflexes/Bloothirsty. Exception: Try to max FAME as soon as you hit level 10, if you are able to keep winning levels.
The fast running monkey looking things are your main problem - aim for the heads and strafe them as they run - if they reach their position they are harder to kill.
Base upgrade priorities are Turret and Engineering - you may need to get the 300HP level before gathering enough money for Gauss Rifle.
Borrows heavily from existing game, redone in flash, but far more annoying.
Annoying music. Annoying controls (space is too big for a "reset" button, accident prone), Annoying menu delays, and the static nature of the levels leaves very few kinds of challenges.
2/5
3/5 because it crashed while I was playing and I lost all of my progress, entirely.
Your game is not bug free, it shouldn't be save free - you should always maintain a hidden backup to auto-load in case of a crash. Bad developer work.
