Speaking of the pictures for each tower upgrade, one minor thing that bugs me is that when you highlight the first bottom upgrade from the "Towers" screen, the floating text explanation covers the picture itself, so you can't really enjoy those pictures. Could you perhaps have the text pop up to the right side of the upgrade instead of the left for that one specific upgrade?
Nice game, but perhaps a tad easy. I'm usually terrible at the bullet hell toho games, but I didn't lose a single life in this game or even come close. The impossible badge isn't for me (Don't have the patience) someone better at the genre should be able to get it fairly easy.
This game can be pretty glitchy...One level I got 40% accuracy. At first I thought I was just terrible, but then I got 0% accuracy the next level which wasn't true at all. The next tier had -87777% accuracy or something of the sort, and I KNOW I am not THAT bad. Then it sort of rolled around to 400% accuracy...
It struck me how pretty this game really is. After you finally build up and don't need to do anything anymore, you see these massive carriers launching drones, hundreds of nuclear missiles flying around, lasers from both sides shooting down missiles...Incredible graphics.
Fun, but it gets really old. It feels...slow. Very very slow, especially when you are driving the enemy back, and have to wait for your units to make it across. And while scout solves THAT problem, it STILL feels slow overall.
Perhaps the definition of mediocrity. The dialogue tried to be witty, but ended up feeling pretty terse, and the control scheme was horrendous. Which is RARE to say about an RPG. Nevertheless, it's true.
Alright, dude, 3rd boss in storyline. I can stand randomness in the normal levels. It sucks, but whatever, it can work. But randomness in bosses is ENEXCUSEABLE. Bosses are designed to have a pattern so you can beat them when you figure that out and exploit it to do damage. I had this boss laser me TIL MY FUEL RAN OUT. Not a single missile. And most of the time it will laser and missile so randomly, that it is nearly impossible to score a hit in. Patterns, not randomness.
The one thing that made me really sad is so much mixed metaphor. I can do colors and arrows. I can do arrows in random positions. I'm sure I can manage colors in random positions...all three at once destroys the rhythm section of my mind, and I am a long time DDR vet.
Absolutely love the music, great choice and, after a while, it is what kept me playing. I think it would help a ton if the upgrades gave more than just fire rate. Also, some ability to heal would be forgiving.
