The hitboxes in this game need some extreme tweaking. The third boss takes no damage if you hit him certain places, which makes no sense. Also, why doesn't the plasma gun do area damage or go through things?
Got tired at level 100...It'd take sooooo many more upgrades to beat the dragon. I like games that have a nice, wrap-it-up ending and story. That doesn't make this game bad, per se, it's just not for me.
(continued from last comment) The text on the levels kinda covers it, but not enough. A storyboard at the beginning and end would add a LOT to the experience. Nothing happened at the end, which was disappointing. A final boss would have been nice, too. Autopausing, "M" for "Mute", and "P" for "Pause" would be nice, as well as being able to go back to the main menu. (continued in next comment) But, back to good things - I like the strategy involved, where you can create a trail or maze the enemy has to follow, as long as you don't block them off (on that note, the towers should be able to heal; upgrading that could be good for a General upgrades category). A very powerful tool. The coin system with achievements is awesome. / So, overall, a really solid tower defense game. Keep up the great work, and Godspeed. Oh, and two thumps up on Gura_UK's comment.
Just beat it. I reverted to casual mode near the end because it just...got a bit much. X-D Anyway, great game - stellar music, graphics, and gameplay. Great units and upgrade system (though I think there should be more upgrades; General Perks might be a good category, plus the Archmage seems a bit weak). The intro thingies on the levels are nice. Great main menu art. / The downsides are that it's too hard and time consuming (grindy), however, the positive traits were so strong that it's worth it. An even bigger downside, actually, as Casual Mode (it's not exactly what I would consider very casual, but that's OK) kinda deals with the aforementioned issue, is the lack of story. Good game minus lag issues. I do wish there was a more satisfying ending, though - the intro is nice and detailed, but all you get at the end is a "Congrats." Still quite good, with nice music, graphics, and gameplay. 4/5.
Alrighty, I finished it. I feel like I may have put some of my criticisms too harshly, so I apologize for that. The music, graphics, and gameplay concept are all good, plus the text before the levels is nice. I like the storyboards at the beginning and end. Some additional issues were: the last boss often focuses too much on one unit, getting them annihilated; I had some lag issues, but they seemed fine most of the time; and at least most other problems should have been mentioned by me or others. I look forward to a sequel, which I hope deals with these issues. I would also enjoy it if they were dealt with in this one, at least as much as possible.
I can't even comprehend how absurdly difficult the last level is. You get 300 ink for an unbelievably hard unit - that's it. This game just needs MAJOR balancing, because, while it's got great graphics and potential gameplay, as is, it's incredibly annoying. You only get 25 back for selling units, no matter how advanced they are; you get no money back for anything else; the final boss is way too hard...A list of problems.
I started losing hearts on Hidden Level III for no reason while the game was paused...I lost the game because of it. o_O It ate all of them, even though I had a wall of guys still standing (every tile).
I'll fix it
