Something has gone terribly wrong in the last couple of days which has made this game unplayable... I let it idle for even a few minutes and it gets frozen up with some sort of memory leak or something... Devs, please fix ASAP!
catpaw may not have said it eloquently, but I would love to have independent volume/mute controls, too... I find the SFX too quiet and the music too loud (after I enjoyed it for the first 100 times around). GREAT MUSIC, but it still gets old after a while! 4/5!!!
BTW... TYTYTY for the option for Scientific notation!!! I would like t see a third option, Engineering Notation, which would just use ones, tens, hundreds, e^3, e^6, e^9, etc... (so, essentially the same as K, M, B, T, only less ambiguous.)
Additionally, the "Target Lock" doesn't work the way I would expect. I "reflect"-ed it back onto Cyber-Kazuo, but when he fired his seeking missiles, they didn't attack him, they still attacked me...
Although I really like the game, I'm starting to notice some glaring issues with the handling of effects. Specifically, "Reflect" and "Magic Shield" together seem like they should nullify pretty much everything, but somehow, bash and a few other effects still make it through.
It doesn't make sense for you to suffer the EFFECT of an attack if you DODGED, BLOCKED, or otherwise NULLIFIED the attack itself... If you BASH me with your shield, but I DODGED and took NO DAMAGE, I shouldn't be knocked back into next Wednesday, still...
Yeah... Third tavern is seriously OP... I had EVERY shield known to mankind active, yet he can still pickpocket? That doesn't seem right... and he has a special that does 999999 damage???
I'm sure this game has long since been abandoned, but I would love you to port the controls to WASD and make the fighting commands 1,2,3,4,... This would streamline the playing IMMENSELY by reducing the amount of jumping from keys to mouse and back... It seems this game should be easy enough to port to mobile, as well! Great first offering... especially for way back in 2007! Off to play Ch. 2 and maybe see what else you've done since then!!!
