I think it's a great start. an idle game would be good, but you could also add in some random events to make it more difficult. maybe record signing, fans, party where you have to make choices. you could choose to sign with an awesome record but not be ready for it and your career ends cuz you're smashed by the better bands. You could also be trampled by fans or they could make you play better. Also, i'm a big fan of upgrade games. maybe you could save up and choose the type/brand of equip you buy.

I still am not sure how this could be turned into an idle game.. And timers are annoying to work with, imo. Maybe have days go by every x seconds if idling? I dunno.
I think there should be a way to buy multiple clips at once. its annoying to sit here and click clip size +1 500 times every level. But a good game in my eyes =)
