aaand i ran CCleaner! Awesome! Yay. Anyways, back to the review. I would rate the game at about a 3/5 and a 72% imho. It's a nice change of pace, but honestly it could use a bit of a tweaking... For example, why can't we preview out army or change it's order between runs? Also, try to incorporate a slightly faster FF button. The prices for upgrades are out of the world as well, try to tone that down. I know that if you're reading this, Rete, you're probably pissed that i'm talking so much sh*t on your game, but i feel that you wouldn't be able to improve upon it without condtructive criticism. Thanks for the awesome game!
It definitely needed a deselect button. The hotkey wasn't that much of an issue. Also, you should make popups which showed the current effect of stack due to upgrade purchases made. IE: the upgrade that reduced price of turrrets; Since there was two i had purchased previously, the popup for the next upgrade that would reduce the price would say that the turrets were already at 30% off. Also, make a fast forward button. It isn't that hard, and for all of the impatient players out there, it would improve your game's score by alot. If you want this game to do really well, add an actual experience bar, and make the points count up to levels, not upgrades. This idea is coming from every RPG, but a good example you can lean on is the GemCraft Series. Improve the textures. Make the game have a slightly more polished feel. Make the gridding system alot more noticable and user-friendly- I could sometimes not tell where the map interacted with blocking elements such as trees, etc.
I dont know why everyone thinks its okay to release a game with no new content because of level packs. do you rate level packs down for that? YES WE DO! on average level packs have lower scores than their originals! And to create a level pack you must first have a game that is actually developed successfully! What you speak of is comparable to releasing a an ipod next year that is exactly the same as the one from last year.
There is nothing new or exciting about this game, when compared to the "prequel". I spent about ten minutes trying to play this game, but its not very entertaining. The controls are not very fluent, your armies are not very well organized, and your powers were never explained. The graphics are horrible, and could have been improved slightly. This isn't a very good update to a genre which we have all seen countless copies of. If you want this game to stand out, you need to create something "new" to bring to the table. This game looks as though it was created 5 years ago. 2/5.
The main reason i am not donating to this game is because it is one of the biggest wastes of potential. If it had added textures, an actual storyline, and upgrades worth purchasing, i would easily have donated 20-50 bucks. Hopefully next time you'll get it right. 2.5/5.
okay, so i went to get on the elevator, was closed into the door and FLUNG back out thru the office, grabbing a beer on my way out. i was dead already. healed in the air. FLEW OVER THE STAIRS! grabbed another beer right there, bounced GRABBED ANOTHER BEER ALL THE WHILE SMASHING MY HEAD ON THE PAVEMENT. tried to jump up over the block next to the car, and died.
SEEING THE WORD ARKANDIA MADE MY DAY!! UPVOTE IF YOU INSTANTLY SMILED WHEN YOU SAW THIS ON THE FRONTPAGE. Then i saw the word puzzle and i was like, shoot... hope he lets me kill stuff. 5/5!!!!
Good Game. 4/5. Not your usual game Podge. I enjoyed it, however you should give a little run through on what to do in the game, or a more detailed tutorial. Also, It lost its replay value very quickly.
