Um... the game restarted my progress even after I got 80% of all characters and beat the whole game so far.

I love this game... I finished everything, all paths, box storage, gotten most characters. I just don't understand one thing. and that's probably the most important thing, the plot. I get that they are trying to get home, but I really don't understand the ending, and how it fits in with everything else.
