Early game you want to get tier 1 lighting and rest into melee. Once you have all the melee skills finish the electric and poison tree. Melee is great for spam since it cost no mana and tier one lightning skill is great for bosses. The ultimate poison and electric skills are fantastic for level grind and clearing rooms quickly. My stats end game without armor on was 30 Strength, 20 defense, 20 agility, and 45 magic.
Revanent (Floating skull with yellow eyes) was the best pet in my opinion has high attack, magic, and agility. Only its defense is low which is solved with potions. He can pierce attack and lay down poison pools. Also great against the final boss by laying poison all over the ground and hitting all the enemies he spawns at once.
The concept of the game of collecting units to train and upgrade the castle was fun and interesting although sentrys not being able to use the hero abilities is lame. The games difficulty is fine if you know what you are doing as in making sure you use different units each day to get them more skill points. Not being able to see what the perks do before you pick one is lame as well. The gameplay was also pretty repetitive since all you get to so is shoot arrows with no other abilities to spice things up unless you got an archer to hero which I manage to only get two in my run (bomber and triple shot). The enemies were all unique and fun to kill except for the final boss which is just a damage sponge that does 2 moves that do no damage if you have 6 people repairing the castle. Just a lot of minor tweaks and adjustments and this game would be 5/5! As it stands its just average.
I got a bug in the final fight with dark knight. My entire team got killed but hobo knight was still alive but at 0 hp. Dark knight was poisoned so he just eventually killed himself trying to kill hobo knight who was alive/dead haha.
How do you evolve cards? every time i go to the evolve menu the cards i want to evolve are grayed out and says i have x0 when i know i have the card. I also emptied my Colosseum team to see if that was the problem but it didn't fix.
