The prince became the new king, and devoted his reign to making sure that his people would live in good health and safety. The girl became his trusted advisor, and helped him with international relations using her psychic magic. The girl still visited her old friend's grave from time to time, wondering if things could've ended better.
THE END
She also gave the girl psychic magic, allowing them to communicate telepathically. By then, the girl was weak to the point of Selzar being able to overthrow the other gods. The sky was a dull gray, and there was little life, save for the now enslaved humans. The wizard was plotting to kill the prince, and destroy all royal blood. The brave prince went to face the wizard. However, he couldn't bring himself to strike down his old friend. But then, the girl used her psychic magic to give him a vision of a world ruled by Selzar and the wizard. Seeing a totalitarian world that he hated as much as the wizard did, he sliced the wizard's throat, enraged at his hypocrisy. Because of his divine link, the enchanted blade also killed Selzar, or at least reverted him back to a soul trapped in the underworld. With this, Asmodea was restored to full power, and was able to return the kingdom to its former liveliness.
She later learned the truth when the boy killed the king in cold blood. When she tried to leave the rebellion, the boy had her imprisoned for treason. Selzar told the boy to sacrifice her, as her pure soul would allow him to return to full power. To prove this, he had the boy take some of her blood. This blood offering was enough to restore half of Selzar's physical body, and reshape the kingdom under the sect's rule. The mutilated girl was locked in a cage, nearly starved and weakened. With each passing day, her pain gave the demon god more and more strength, until her slow death, which would make him even more powerful than Asmodea. Speaking of, the goddess of magic called out to the prince, and the boy and girl's old friend. Using the last of her powers, she gave the prince a silver blade and armor.
Once upon a time, there was a prince. As a child, he was friends with two peasants, a boy and a girl. The prince felt bad for his people, but couldn't help their poverty, as the king wanted to focus on the kingdom's military. While they didn't have much, the girl was very happy, and was great friends with the prince. The boy, however, grew resentful of the royal family. The boy and girl were also part of a religion. This religion allowed them to speak to the gods. As they grew up, the boy soon became the head of the religion. This gave him a full link with the gods. Selzar, the fallen god of humanity, told the boy to lead a revolution. Giving the boy powers that he stole from Asmodea, the goddess of magic, Selzaar turned him into a powerful wizard. With the demon god's help, the boy formed an anti-monarch sect. The girl became the boy's assistant, and was led to believe that they would peacefully reform the government.
