I could really like this game. Unfortunately, it lags severely. I wish when I clicked it responded immediately. Sometimes it does, but most of the time it I have to wait for the game to catch up and if I click somewhere once, it will count it on the last thing I was hovering over instead of what I'm hovering over when I click. --I'm sad because it makes this game unplayable to me.
The lag is causing me to give up. I can make it to the last guy (boat shooting missiles at me). However, whenever I get there (every launch) I have to hit the button to dash and hope because I can't see the outcome or what the boat is doing. I just have to mash the button. 5 tries without being able to see is enough. I give up on this medium badge.
I did try restarting my system. Upgrading my flash. Running no other programs. None of these things helped. I ran on low quality with no music or sounds and it still happens.
Perfect game for chilling with your significant other or to kill a few minutes. Got to love the simplicity. I'd be very proud to have made a game like this.
I wonder if my reviews/comments ever get read. In any case, I'm going to write this comment entirely while the game loads between screens. So, I think that the screen loading takes too long, although it does speed up significantly after you've been to an area once, it just isn't fast enough when exploring new areas. Battle mode is fun, especially when playing with other people, but the use of the mouse to choose actions and targets is not as fun as using a menu toggle with the up down arrow keys and a target toggle with the arrow keys. Perhaps only use the mouse on menu screens (like the stats screen and weapons screen) and have the character move with the arrow keys as well (or give the option of mouse and/or keyboard controls).
I like the game other than those things. Love the options for classes, but would like to choose gender on my own, but that is mainly a style choice. Good job on the game.
Great story. The game is more of a "click here to watch the neat story" than a challenge. There are little puzzles that are kinda easy, but a second one with harder puzzles wouldn't be bad.
I don't often celebrate badges in the comments...however, I think seeing as this is the rarest badge on Kongregate, I will.
I beat the battle mode today...finally. My fourth impossible.
I set up my bridge for level 21. If the crates broke the bridge when they fell, I'd just restart. I didn't change the structure of my bridge at all, and after 15 restarts, the bridge held... That seems wrong.
wow. I just finished the insane legion. I picked up a shield right at the beginning. Then with 400 or so kills left, I lost my shield. The only time I got touched. I don't know if I can handle the sheer mental explosion of attempting the impossible badge again.
That "level" is aptly named...Insane!
Well, I was going for a Max Cash high score and got to 50,310,000 when the game took all my money away saying "Funny Money, Taking All Your Cash" and under that it says "Cheat Detected:Money Axed." Every new turn, when I would normally get money for the 6 zones I own, it repeats these lines.
I'm on the high score list for up to the 50,310,000 , but now I have 0 dollars every turn. I definitely did not cheat. I had only John McCain left to kill and surrounded him in the only zone I had left with 4 of my guys. I kept a fundraiser outside of that and used her to heal my other characters every round when McCain attacked. Occasionally, I'd have to use Obama to hire a new staff member if I let someone go for too long and they died. I would repeatedly end my turn, and watch my funds grow.
Until it claimed I was cheating. Boo hiss.
Good idea, but the game comes off as a bit boring. Repeating the same series of events over and over just to realize that the game won't let you out the door is frusterating (lvl 25 doesn't light up the same every time on the light at the door and sometimes it will let me through and others it won't).
