Hmm. I need to get over that hill and past the first sheep. How am I going to do that? ...I've got it! Turn into a dandelion and evolve that sheep into a Bulbasaur!
... It's super effective!
I can't be the only one that thinks the main character looks like a chibi Goku wearing Finn's hat and uses Instant Transmission to beat the game. I just can't.
Beat it in about 10-15 minutes. That's not necessarily a bad thing, however. Short, sweet, elegant presentation, non-obtrusive background music, and (most importantly) solid mechanics that allow you to make mistakes and fix them immediately with no wait time, including near instantaneous level restarts. 5 out of 5 would bang.
Damn hipsters. Try as I might I haven't gotten a single one to stay at my hotel. Either it's too mainstream or they're ninjas and I just don't know they're there.
Could be interesting but the constant input lag and slow overall response time ruin the experience for me personally. Might try it again at a later date to see if there's a difference.
I was thinking to myself, "Man, this feels a lot like the cave in Lufia II." Then I read the description. The game is fantastic, but 5 stars for the dev's Lufia reference alone.
I might possibly have enjoyed this game if not for the inexplicably massive lag it caused, starting with between .5 - 2 seconds between button presses and execution, and eventually ending with almost halting my computer altogether. Even closing the tab took almost 2 solid minutes before the tab closed and the game audio stopped and another 2 minutes before the system resources normalized. 1/5 until this issue is resolved.
It figures. I finally infect Madagascar out of pure spite with the Eff Madagascar parasite...and South America and Australia proceed to close up tighter than a pair of yoga pants on Honey Boo Boo's mom... sorry for that image in your head, by the way.
If you fall anywhere between "I love this game" and "This game might be better if they fixed some stuff" then you owe it to yourself to go check out the successor to this original flash version on Steam, also called No Time To Explain... trust me. You will not be disappoint.
