Got a smoking Brain Bucket and a circling heart Killer's Kabuto in the first $200, the second being found only 6 keys after the first, but it took another $800 to get the next one, a blizzardy storm Bubble Pipe. I hope it's worth the $1,000 in virtual money I put down.
I loved the random events that really served to add flavor to the game, but by the time I'd cleared half the city, most of my team had 1 to -3 eyes. I would have really also enjoyed deeper interaction between the different characters, as I really grew attached to several of them. Also Athens is the greatest city name ever and Pericles is almost as badass as Chuck Norris.
I like the concept, but it's boring just clicking over and over again. If you do a sequel I suggest instead of an omnipotent floating weapon you take control of an actual guard with a health bar of his own. Also, the ability to hire AI guards and equip them with diff wep. would be a lot of fun. Finally, I think the wep. should have strengths and weaknesses, in a sort of rock-paper-scissors fashion, so that one wep. is strong against 1 enemy, but weak against others.
I must say this is a pathetic game. The action is a boring and bland ripoff of The Last Stand, The graphics are stiff and rudimentary, the story is cookie-cutter and generic, and worst of all said story and text was written by either: A. A 6 year old or B. An 11 year old immigrant from Lichtenstein. Save your time and skip this trite offense to gaming.
