UPDATE:
For those who are wondering, I'll be posting development updates of BotArena4 over at my blog: http://www.lukehaillay.com/blog/

Left the house after assuming the pink door was the final exit. Turns out I left the house before getting the last thing I needed (clothes...) after spending what feels like hours playing without hitting the pink door... no warning of whether I would like to leave, and then the game deliberately gives me no way to get back. Now I'm screwed... what a gigantic waste of time that was, and such a shame. I wish the game would have warned me somehow...
7575m distance ran in first try. I liked the game... it was more interesting and felt more controllable than other runner games, but like most runner games it got really repetitive after a while.
I was under the impression that the game saved automatically when standing on the 's' tiles. When I died after picking some ridiculously overpowered fight (the treasure island), I died and ended up at the start of the game. That was very annoying.
Great game. Even though the endings were revealed to me there is something very significant I missed: **Spoiler alert** Gloves. Like every NPC said you can find them in the water... kind of. Every time I replayed this horrifyingly addictive game I was always trying to get the 'good ending' but always missed the gloves.
I'm trying to be as polite as possible here, but I must say this is one painfully mediocre gaming experience. This is a physics game turned physics lesson.
Struggling with Level 32 (Tiny Ball Swing)? You can actually skip the whole swinging part and beat the level in one shot. Hitting the ball on the swing will knock it straight off, a well placed nice-hard kick from the starting player will hit the small ball straight into the hole. Give it a go!
Tough to beat the last boss. Here are the stats I beat him with. It took a lot of trial and error to get a good setup:
Level 8 'Faster paddle'
Level 3 'Longer paddle'
Level 4 'Critical hit'
Level 2 'Stun missle'
I found the only way to get the ball through wall either on a critical bounce, or from a perfectly timed stun missle.
Final boss gave about 4000 upgrade points.
Liked the game for it's originality, but the game was very glitchy. I definitely think the player should be asked if they are ready before proceeding.
Cute game, nice and relaxing. Loved the fluid physics addition to the classic 'cluster-removal' concept. Only thing I could suggest is music: I liked the music, it was relaxing, but really didn't suit the game concept. It gave the game a country context which I think made it a little awkward.
Really? A quadrilogy of a defence game? Based on an original game? I understand you are trying to expand the franchise but you really are beating a dead horse here.
Considering this cookie cutter template game with a graphics variation, I quite enjoyed the chaos of this game, so in reality I can't say anything bad about it. Ironically when I started playing this I was listening to 'Take me to the Hospital' by The Prodigy... the music suited the game incomparably.
For a generic physics based driving side scroller I quite enjoyed that. The whole time I was playing it though I was thinking 'man... this could have easily been given some Ford Truck branding'... seriously this game has so much marketing appeal in the variation of cargo the player must deliver all I can think about is 'having a truck = awesome adventures based on carrying stuff'. I betcha Ford woulda paid you like twenty large if this game had Ford branding. I hope you're kicking yourself. ;)
A good game. Kept me entertained for around a half an hour. The ending was sad, although I must say I'm starting to get tired of games which have the most significant part of the story revealed at the end which isn't made apparent throughout the entire game. When I win the game, it almost feels like I just beat a different game. The time-replay mechanics worked well.
Liked how addictive the game was, but could have used some sort of ultimate goal. I think this game would have made an ideal opportunity to present an environmental message, such as reaching a certain carbon output by a certain year. Even grade for reaching zero output at several year levels. Just a thought. All in all I think it was a good game.
Hi blahedo
You'll find it helps if you face the direction of the coin ;)
Others are now solving this game without a problem, and I just won the entire game (on Kongregate... I've won it billions of times before) without even noticing that problem. Also, the vector based calculations are so damn precise that I highly doubt that you are dying when facing the normal of the slope. Also, you do realise that the games physics are based on the character being 'stuck' to each surface, so being able to turn 90 degress from the normal of a slope would look kinda stupid eh?
