5 str, 10 speed, 11 reproduction. I just kept up with speed/str/ reproduction and didn't have any problem. By the time the enemy had control over one unit, I had gotten 4. Very fun game! Looking forward to Game 3.
A nice trick I found to get a lot of turbo and still maintain average speed, is to get in front of another driver and brake. The driver will be pushing you forward, while you gain turbo. Turbo boost in a matter of seconds! + so others can see.

Seriously though, The swordmen don't let up, and if you get two on chapter 5 at the same time, you're screwed.
I suggest don't let 2 gang up on you. If they do, use your shield to get close, then break a knee. Or, kick a head at them to knock one over. Or throw a spear. Running shield bash is another way. Or jumping attack if you can time it...

Honestly, in my personal opinion, this game needs a lot of changes. It's horrible the way the system is set up. One: I can't sell my units after I have bought them. Two: It's basically set up so you /have/ to be using the right attribute to the monster. Three: It takes way too long per level. If I want to spend 30-45 minutes playing one level, I'd start playing World of Warcraft.
Four: Apparently there was a wave preview bar or something of that sort that made the game slightly easier, I think that might of made it slightly better... But as is, 2/5
Pandorica's Box: Summons 1 legendary monster and 5 random bosses of each race. ( Orc, Undead, Dwarf,Human,Beast ) If you do not win, the box gets destroyed and you lose items. Be VERY well prepared. + So others can see this.
You don't get awarded prize money from completed races. I was racing in the Airplane Boneyard and I only got 3.3k cash and that was from the level. I was supposed to get 7k prize money for completing it?
I really enjoyed the game on an overall level. The only part I did not like was when you start getting a multiplier of above 25, the words "Awesome" "Great" and "Super" Start getting in the way of your screen, resulting in hitting a blue car.
