Hmm, yes, it seems as though the links don't work perfectly right now. If you right click them and hit "open in new window", they work fine, but just clicking them does nothing. Odd that: we'll see if we can fix it.

The highscores are there so that you can show that you've read it, and so that if a friend comes and checks them, they'll be able to see that you've seen it as well!

Glad people like it! And yes, jynxxye, we'd like that too. We're working on it, but we're not sure when it'll be ready.

Interesting question, Tuttlebat... We have something else in mind as a future use of the up and down arrows, but we'll see what we can do about having them scroll the pages up and down. No promises though...

We're intentionally mixing some harder images in with some easier ones, so some weeks will likely have larger draw groups than others.
This is true, Lance, but it is also not trying to be a game: it's a flash-based newsletter. I would suggest it falls into a similar category of games as idle-games and tutorials. And zen, why not let your rating reflect your opinion of the newsletter? If it had a quickly put together maze in it, how would that improve it's quality? Thanks for the comments thus far everyone!
Odd... That button should work as soon as you click it... Are you sure you're properly connected? Suvius and Kyle, do you have anything in particular you dislike, other than just "not good"? And you're right, oceanix, so we did...

This is true, Aioria, but if the game shows up more than once, that's probably not the case. Glad people like it!

Well, we entirely agree with all the comments that say that this is not a "game" by the normal definition, but that does make sense when you look at it like the newsletter that it is. We have specific reasoning for hosting it as a game rather than via e-mail or in the forums: By using the game format, we can save space so that information that might take a dozen 8 1/2" x 11" pages to show traditionally can be shown in a much smaller space. Not only that, but part of the advantage of this newsletter is that it means people do not need to sift through the forums if they don't want to: hosting it in the forums could effectively negate that part of it's usefulness. Thanks for the comments, and we're glad people like it!
We're glad people like it! As Rolpege said, we're uploading new editions as seperate flash files for easy access! :D Also, While we intended to have a weekly release, we've encountered a few issues with the early process, so we're dropping back to a bi-weekly release until we can be more certain of having a weekly one. Also, we may add music at some point, but we're going to try to focus on other more pressing issues first. Thanks for your comments!

Indeed, The Hard Badge is rather text-heavy, but as a newsletter that is kind of the point. Hopefully we'll be able to alleviate that to some degree, but we don't expect it to change to a massive degree. Gevatter, we answered your shout with responses to your issues, because our reasoning for those issues would not fit well in the comments. Thanks for sharing your opinion with us, everyone!

Thanks for the comments everyone! Pictures should be coming in the next issue (If everything goes as we hope), and animations should be coming once we get more of the rest working as we intend. And, on that note, links should also be showing up fairly shortly. Ysayall, we're working on a way to help combat what you mentioned, but it probably won't be around for a little while.

Fully agreed, on two points, ybom: We will be adding a table of contents very shortly, and we're currently working on including images in with the text. However, not sure that adding a game aspect to the newsletter would actually be a good idea: the main function of this is to be informative, and any game that was included would probably be both low quality, and distract from the real purpose. Maybe in the future though, you never know!
While it could, in theory, have been done in the forums, dubesor, publishing the newsletter as a flash file instead has several significant advantages. These include being able to fit much more information in much less space, being easily found by the many users who avoid the forums, and being much more diverse in it's functionality than a forum post would be.
For badges, Googoolyeye, it would need API. (Thanks though. :P) We are working on putting a basic API function that'll let others know you've read it, though! Yes justin, this has been put together entirely by us, and thanks for the thanks! Glad you approve then, Jude. As I mentioned in the forum post, we're open to advice: do you have any suggestions for the design?
The glitch where the arrow keys stop working if you click on the text until you click again is a known one, that we're working on. And the spiderman title disappears when you highlight it? We'll have to look into that. And finally, we're working on images! :D Thanks for all the feedback so far!
We agree, Sharingan, getting pictures in with the text is a high priority for us: we just weren't able to manage it for this issue. They'll be there soon though!
