This is a phenomenal game and has a long time of potential play. If there was a mobile version of this game with a base price that includes some of the bonus paid content that is available on armorgames I would absolutely be willing to pay 5$-8$ for this game. Also a game like this is great to see with the mass abundance of idle games out there.
This is the absolutely funniest hands down, hands DOWN! best beginning of a game i have ever seen on kongregate or anywhere. I have been amused by some games in the past but never laughed outloud as hard as i did when i read the search entry
A big recommendation I have is to get a native English speaker to spell check the dialogue. some of it did not read smoothly or make much sense. I was rather confused about the Tride Evergreen's falling situation. I am guessing English is not the dev's first language, but despite that the story overall is really enjoyable and a good dame.
this is a phenomenal game to see out right now. with the most recent trend of a massive quantity of idle games coming out this is a really refreshing game to see. It is phenomenally enjoyable please keep up this form of content.
I highly recommend altering monkey squad in some way to make it more viable or useful. like maybe the monkeys maintain your overdrive level or something. Right now with how big units are and the location of bosses being in the center I am better served not using the monkeys because the most important to kill enemies always spawn naturally where the turret is facing without guidance.
For a game still in early alpha it is pretty good. my biggest suggestion is that you put in the instructions screen what active clicking can do. it was not until I was at the desert and accidentally clicked a scorpion that I found out you can damage mobs by clicking on them. It makes me wonder if there are any other functions that clicking can do that I am missing.
at later levels once you get to the + range manual clicking becomes much less useful. i think it would be a good adjustment if the level up active click damage multiplier grew at a 1.1:1 ratio vs idle damage multiplier. I didn't do the numbers but an incentive for active clicking at later levels as the auto click speed rises. I could maybe hit 15 clicks per second for a few seconds. but nowhere near 250 per second. even with a 10* damage boost form combo that would be me still 2/5ths behind my dps with auto clicks.
my biggest issue is the slow rate of progress from the hero. each trip to the tower takes him no more than 6 seconds and he only goes up 1 level and 1 gil per kill at a time. he is not even close to a point where me clicking on the battle would help and i can't travel by any larger increment making him the prime reason i am held back.
while there are some aspects of this game could be improved. which with how responsive the dev seems to be, they are all probably being worked on already. One aspect i am very grateful for is a very detailed in game help section with great tool tips.
I don't know if the dev still looks at this because they have been gone awhile but, an option to pause combat and look over the combat log would be great. i try different specs and i want to see what does more damage or is more efficient and it is hard when i can't look at the log without it jumping around. I believe this would be a moderatly simple function to add.
I would personally like to recommend a lower cost or better way to ascend. I still am waiting to be able to ascend once but looking at how much i have to spend vs it being capable of holding enough energy to ascend it will take me a few more days. also with my first ascension i will have maybe 200,000 mutagen where the cost is 1 mutagen per upgrade increasing on a doubling scale. still warrants me a lot of points in everything on my first ascension. maybe my guesstimates are wrong but i just feel the time span to get the first ascension is long.
Ascensions are designed to be slower than they are in lots of other idle games. (Really fast ascensions ruins the "idle" part, imo.) Patience, you'll get there!
i really enjoy the game but one thing i would like is that if maybe you could add a cooling cell exotic particle upgrade. the cooling cells become irrelevant once i hit protium cells. my heat exchangers transfer more heat per tick than my cooling cells can carry. an extreme capacity cooling cell could be really useful in some builds and it is the only part that does not have an exotic upgrade
I agree with the prevailing thought that Heat Exchangers need to scale respective to the rest of the gear. or at least have more levels. power output of a tier 5 cell is so great that one cannot be surrounded in coolant those coolants linked to 3 exchangers each and then in turn all connected to heat sinks so that the coolants do not explode. I could understand not making the exchange rate from cells to heat exchangers so great it makes the concept of where to place things easier, but maybe enhancing the heat rate exchange between coolant and heat exchangers. or if possible make the absorption rate of the coolants higher from cells or its dispersal rate quicker through heat exchangers, or even give it additional ticks per second between the two could potentially compensate without ruining the rest of the mechanics.
it needs a reset button for the skills also the leveling up of the skills has to have a meaningful impact, if i choose to level up attack it has 0 impact. literally at no point does leveling up attack actually allow me to skip a planet. so the abilities must be reworked and i would say scale their ability and damage more. also add more worlds. once i reach god world i just am at a blank point and kinda kills it
I would recommend that you add a tooltip over the level up bar that indicates how one may level up. I see that I am leveling and making progress. but I am unaware if there is any specific way to level up faster or does trading and delivering increase level faster or do i just have to fly around?
A couple other recommendations i have, do not eliminate the repair timer, it is a good idea. it makes me not just grind the game to oblivion i keep coming back later and extend my playtime on it and I like that. I would recommend you shorten the repair timer. say that for a complete recharge of durability it is 1.5 hours flat. but each plane upgrade increases your max repair. it looks like for each new market and hanger purchased it increases by a set percent the next one. i would recommend putting in the tooltip on purchase saying how much the next purchase will increase by. other than that i enjoy the game. keep it up
There's a section at the bottom of the F.A.Q./Help (see the 'settings' button on the left) called "How di I level-up faster?". It says:
In a word: Passengers. Outfit your plane with passenger seats and fly passengers from place to place. Try to move the bigger groups and pick passengers to nearby destinations over ones that are further away. Also - if you've opened up Europe, don't forget to click on the world map icon and jump back to Africa to use your plane there as well. The more regions you move passengers in the faster you'll gain experience.
This game is engaging from the first map to the last. I would almost ask how many maps are platinum possible? perhaps another feat of heroism to get ____ amount of platinums. not just one. I would also suggest that you make it somehow available for players to construct their own maps, it could lighten up your load and allow all the fans clamoring for more maps to get what they want if you released a player map pack. the water tiles, the changing colored directional arrows, and the torch and darkness could also have been used more. the water doesn't even have a tool tip. a tile that an arrow can go over but you cannot and blocks obstacles could be very useful in making maps. The massive graphics upgrade from the first is a very nice step up. very well done as a whole, best of luck and we look forward to the next installment of Questy's relentless campaign for peace and a display of his somewhat startling stamina. 5/5
Okay, insane was easier then original. or the massive learning curve i experienced in original after my little albino amigo went from a few bits to a thousand giblets made me that much better. the final level on insane took me 2 tries when the final level on original took me 200. in my opinion the developer should switch the insane and original modes to reflect their dificulty
this is a pretty well done game, while most launch games have a very basic layout with the upgrades being blah after a little bit this one has some progression to it. the upgrades get exponentially more expensive and really do require work to get the top upgrades. the graphics may not be phenominal but the gameplay is strong. + vote for Kongregate to add Badges for the holiday season
Who is the person selling these monsters? whoever they are, they are a horrible sales person. Because i am damn sure i could get way more then 750 for a FIRE BREATHING, HIGH FLYING, MONSTER EATING DRAGON. also why is the dragon named Long
It's not every day you see someone appreciate the tooltips. Thanks!
