wow.... the dragon doesnt even attack my shield. its been almost 3 minutes now since my sword died and the shield is still at 1/2 hp

stuck on achirion wastes, decrepit passage, not so vast forest. any advice? i've been playing them over and over for hours now and cant seem to get a working strat. i have all 4 points invested in extra lives.
