Programming is interesting, but there appears to be some problems with it. For example it isn't clear you target yourself with damaging attacks if you check your mana first. You need a multi-command to check something about an enemy first. Maybe an ignorable error warning if you program something that self harms or buffs the enemy
It isn't just the player though. You can actually check enemy commands and possibly take advantage of them but some of them are just borked. For example the beast master encounter has a large set of commands that checks enemy hp levels to target attacks in an attempt to always hit the lowest. The problem is they are backwards checking highest health first so most of the commands can never trigger. Also if this hasn't been changed the pumpkin boss literally can't do anything if they run out of mp. The way they are set up requires mana for their cycle so they just can't do anything if they run out despite having a 0mp move.
I still really hate the healing AI. I was going for a max healing build with the warrior's health equaling the healing. I keep losing because the enemy before knocks me down to just slightly above half and then the next enemy does more than half health the next hit. I could easily out heal it but the cleric chooses not to even if it would save the warrior.
Can you please make the total stage reset button anything other than double pressing the reset to last check point button? It is so annoying to complete something and then accidentally getting reset back.
I have gotten to the point where it is just saying a number followed by ++. Any chance this can be fixed? I kind of like knowing how much I need. I can almost certainly never afford another worker at this point but it would still be nice. I'm at world 33 so far.
Oh damn, I could add some more number definitions, but you're pretty much at the end of the game. The numbers are just scaling up too fast past world 30ish right now. Check back in a couple of weeks, I'll be putting out a really huge update that will really (hopefully) solidify the game. After that, I'll be doing updates more frequently.
I do use chrome. I'm not sure what happened the first time but it happened on my third run as well. The second time it happened right after I retreated from a boss battle I had summoned mind elementals in where my character had died but the summons were still alive. Both times I was the elves.
Thank you for the information. I was able to test your scenario and found the culprit. If you summon something and then retreat you get the bug. We will issue an update soon.
I ran into problems with money in this game. On my second game my gold was over lapped with the number 0 and all my achievements were overlapped with the lose your first game achievement. I manage to fix it by reloading. Then a was playing awhile later and tried to hire some units and it said I didn't have enough. The gold then changed to NaN. I also have random black boxes appearing on my screen from time to time.
Hi Theorules, apparently the NaN bug is driving us nuts over here as we have a really hard time replicating it. Are you using Chrome as your browser?
Thank you!
No matter how advanced the boss' weapons get they always seem to resort to ramming and oddly enough that is always the most effective weapon in their arsenal.
HA! Well they do massive damage from ramming and that is due mostly to my limited programming kung fu when I wrote it. I am looking at all new "fu" for Boss 102 so we should be in better shape. Thanks for the play and the comment! Really appreciate it! Best, -Tim
The store flickers a few times when first brought up (probably from the update thing), not being to see special orders before saying yes or no and moving the employees is incredibly annoying and ineffective. This game has a lot of potential and is still quite fun but you might have wanted to play test it some more before release.
I spent a fortune making a ton of burgers, punted them as hard as possible, knocked over hundreds of kids and stole their kites, burned them (the burgers not the kids) horribly on camp fires, bounced them off the ground and made the guy wait for hours. All of this just so I didn't have to walk the distance to the man.
It is possible to beat level 6, you just have to realize that you can only jump once but it doesn't have to be while your touching ground. If you run off a platform then jump you will get much further then if you jump from the platform.
