Helmets can be worn by any character. DON'T mistake helmets for your characters. I got the legendary helmet for the archer and it was better than what my warrior had, so I placed it on him. When I got the warrior's legendary helmet I replaced it and sold the archer's among other old gear. It cannot be replaced. Also screws up the shop since it thinks you already got the best archer helm, so no others will show.
Day 75 and I've made it a distance of 745m. Dev says he's balanced progress, but sure as hell not by a lot.. Progress is way too slow, compiled by the fact that you cant slow down or even back up for ores or gems. Makes the second hull the best since you can see stuff coming, until youve mined enough to win.
i'll give the game a chance.. but seriously can you give as much time to the face of the female in the intro as you did her cleavage? the face is just so bad..

Please disregard last comment. There is a BRIEF message that appears at the bottom of the screen telling you to hit the Space bar to cancel a purchase. Once it's gone though, good luck figuring that out..
Don't click a unit unless you're absolutely sure you want to buy it! You won't be able to continue until you place it somewhere, spending the gold required (assuming you had enough to select it).
i had a bit of an issue with this game. fun concept, got to play long enough for the badge of the day, but my shotgun that i bought disappeared after the level, which from what i gathered in the comments theyre supposed to last.. and it froze while loading level 3 =/
