Author's message that upgrade systems aren't really gameplay and fun is deeply undercut by developing a game in which the upgrade system is the core gameplay and is deeply fun. 10/10 for a great game, 1/10 for successfully conveying your message.

Fun game, but the difference between the orange and green colors is a bit subtle for color blind people (like myself).
