on the downside is the balancing. there are one or two levels, that can only be won with pure luck. on the other hand: i like how you have to change your strategy completely when you come to control the infectous units.
absolutely amazing.
great, totally original concept. love the story. though its reduced to a minimalistic style it gives the game a recognizable theme and kind of intellectual feel.
"Sir, we finally found a way to keep that unarmed robot jumping our troops into pieces away from that bomb we set up! Spikes!" "Great, so we´re safe, now." "Yeah, we put them all over that area with growing, wavelike undergrou... DOH!"
good graphics, but too boring, because repetitive
only difficulty is to click through the busses busses - needs a zoom, gps is too uncomfortable
scrolling should be easier, hitboxes for that are way too small
only got stuck for a few minutes at 31/32 before i realised i had to jump NOT so high at one orb. actually beat the game without using any invisible platforms, you can reach everything regularly, even at 63/64.
i dont think the design is bad. it is a true retro-platformer, so there has to be a little trial and error, thats what gaming on atari and alikes was all about. i am grateful for games that don´t tell you each and every time what to do next, where to find the exit and how to jump or not. 5/5
hmm... nice lesson about balancing - definitely more fun seeing the worm grow, on the other hand it becomes too easy. the only hard part is when the jet pack guys appear, after that its just eating.
