Good idea, but needs polishing. By the second level or so, I figured out to just repeatedly strong armored special, and it was way too easy. Some difficulty settings and something to add more variety, so the game doesn't just consist of choosing the same three words over and over would go a long way. Also copy/paste should be prevented.
Survival mode should get harder and harder in the higher levels. I don't think it got any harder after level 70. I currently hold the record of 256, and only stopped because of sheer boredom (and because I was already number 1). I had hundreds of each kind of item, and so many guns laying around I had to throw away the weaker ones when I had time so I wouldn't accidentally click them. I took about a day to do it, with breaks so probably really a few hours. I kept waiting for it to get harder so I could see how far I could go, but after I beat the record, I just picked a nice round number (2^8=256) and stopped there.
Great game, the clicking makes it much easier and quicker! Here's a suggestion for future versions: allow adding/removing items at any time, not only when it's on the "outside". I found that half the work of some of the last levels.
Feature requests: I'd like to see a list of my oldest unearned badges instead of just the one oldest. Also, it'd be cool if in the Badge Browser, you could see more info on a badge by hovering over it.
Very cool idea, but about the only tie between the song and gameplay that actually matters is the intensity of the song determines the intensity of things coming at you. Some more depth in that department would be nice.
The highest score Kong will recognize is 9,223,372,036,854,775,807=2^63-1~=9.2e+18. You can get a much higher score, but it will just be reported as that.
Correction: the GET A HINT link on the title screen goes to the walkthrough for this, the NEED A HINT? button after you fail a level goes to the walkthrough for Liquid Measure 2.
Here's a tip for the later levels for getting the Tools of the Trade Badge: avoid using repulsor, it's a crutch that usually ends up costing more than it's worth. Do a Beam Surge just before the first enemies reach your ship, then when that's almost over, call in the Sentinel to clean up the rest. For the last level where they keep coming too strong for your Sentinel, focus the Sentinel on the bursters, not the infected, and do another Beam Surge ASAP. This will let you win pretty easily.
By the way, on the first level, you can just use a Sentry, on the rest use Sentinel and Beam Surge as needed. Your overall money will be going down each round until there's about 40 enemies and you get more money than the 150 you spent on the Sentinel, but it's ok.
Oh, I see. :P Tbh, i never really anticipated that this game would be able to go to such heights :P
