Neat concept, but I found myself doing more mindless sequence work than puzzle solving. It ended up taking a lot away from the mechanics, and made me quit before finishing the last few levels. Difficulty also seems way too low, with the only exceptions being the unwelcome trick levels.
Posted two comments before going back and checking the instruction lvl. I'd simply forgotten what the crowns did between starting lvl 34 last night and coming back to it tonight. And now I can't find a "delete comment" option, so boy, do I look like an idiot.
And again on lvl 35: Third row from the top says "1", but when I went to grey it out, I got two mistakes for two separate cells, on top of the one I'd already committed to. Am I understanding this mechanic wrong, or is the lvl design out of whack?
Lvl 34 doesn't quite add up. I ended up leaving it last night, came back today and solved it the wrong way. Seems like there was no level failsafe programmed? Anyway, it does take a lot of the fun out of the game when the solution is against the rules. Problem was four blocks in the right-most column, despite the number at the top saying "3".
Where the heck is the mute button? Why is the back button placed randomly inside a block? It might just be, that I don't get a game made for "intelligence people with high IQ", but this shit sucks.
Add a mute button or get an instant 1 star. I'm coming straight from Cat in Japan, because I wanted more of this, but ffs, I don't wanna listen to some shitty loop over and over again.
Difficulty curve absolutely wrekcs the game. I have to grind previous levels countless times, in order to level up (why not make it based on stars?) and then scrape by for a few levels, knowing full well that I won't be able to get brilliant on them until much, much later in the game.
Also, hotkeys are laggy af, much like the rest of the game, making it much too random when you'll have the chance to actually use a spell. XP granted is also way out of wack, as you can either grind the same lvl you just completed two times, or any other lvl a billion times for a lvl up. Badges are useless, as they are mostly awarded for regular progress, which is incidentally already progress (duh), and the game is NOT very open to different strategies. So many things are lacking hard, and the game lags even harder.
The complexity and vastness of the game is amazing, but it's absolutely wasted on some sloppy ass gameplay. Got to lvl 11, and realized I'd played over 50 rounds for 11 actual maps.
