A tip to all frustrated wall jumpers: Always try and go up to the next section of wall from the lowest possible point of the wall you're currently gripping. That way you get the greatest possible arc from your first jump instead of just smashing your head against the ceiling. Then use the second jump to jump back toward the higher wall. Hope that helps.
The AI is a little too much on the freakishly good side for me and it can be frustrating to hit what feels like a good only to have to have it hit a nub and bounce way back and sometimes the uphill/downhill rolling seems a bit inconsistent but otherwise fairly addictive and fun game
I would love to see a Cactus McCoy game on a handheld like the DS with 1 and 2 collected as well. These are seriously some of my favorite platformers. I have sunk so much time into both of these (and Remnants of Skystone too) trying to explore everything, find every treasure, and beat every challenge.
Huh. At first I thought this would just be a simple, gross devour everything for mindless fun game. Then it turned into a slightly more complex, still somewhat gross, puzzle game. Pleasantly surprised =)
My advice for getting the hard badge, don't use the floating boosters. Because almost every time without fail, it'll throw you right into a plane you can't see until it's too late. Do try and pick up as many gas cans as possible. I used the absolute smallest hull with max everything else. That can make it a little hard to move through the wind but with patience, it's not too hard. Finally, don't be afraid to cut thrust periodically if you're going too fast or need a quick maneuver to dodge something. I made it all the way to space this way without taking damage.
2950. Only complaint is that it needs to be a little more forgiving with the answer. It wouldn't take "Links Awakening" it had to be "Link's Awakening" with the apostrophe for example.
There is no secret formula for this game but heres my advice
On the first level with the cop car, try and stay airborne as much as possible. You have slightly more control and the collision detection with the mines is slightly more forgiving than it is on the ground
2nd level-Just fight like mad for every dollar bill; you can't afford to miss many
3rd level-Try to avoid dbl jumping since thats where you lose the most control. Hell, try to avoid jumping at all if possible. Coast as long as you can and jump only when necessary
4th level-You will learn to loathe collision detection. Try to run under as many of the balls as you can. Jumping will only screw you up
5th level- It might help to stay near the back and try and judge jumps without the jerky movement
If you're still playing at this point: congratulations! You can call yourself a hardcore gamer and challenge all of your friends' masculinity by daring them to beat this
It took a little getting used to the super twitchy controls at first but I've grown to like this. Yeah, it's annoying as hell sometimes but that's part of it's charm I suppose. One thing's for sure, there aren't enough good platformers anymore. I'm actually pleasantly surprised; usually random new games suck. Good job!
Hey everyone, in the level Passage, getting the special star is way easier then you think. I was stuck at this for hours until I realized I was overthinking it. Just move on....
Great game, never seen anything like this in a Flash game. Only comment is that it needs a quick level reset button for when you drastically screw up a speed run
Hmm clever concept. Needs some polish, a bit easy unless you're going for the "In a row" achievements. In other words, not balanced I guess. But an enjoyable spin on a classic
