Turn this into a space shooter with metroidvania elements, as you absorb tech from destroied enemy ships and gain access to new weapons, dodges and areas.
You're not the first person to mention that theme and that'd be a neat variation of this game. That would be megaman-esque where you're just powering up from all your downed foes. I don't think I'd go that direction with this current game but something to think about in the future.
Great game. Some suggestions for the next version:
- Lots of new upgrades, and the menu should have more rooms, layers, etc.
- Some tipe of bomb, or activated shot, to give that punch on some enemies.
- Some new enemies and bosses that attack you on the normal stage, maybe after clearing a lot of critters or reaching some score checkpoints.
You got a good frame for your game, and you can expand it a lot. We all await your next game!!!
Thanks man! Next game is already out :p, It's called Base Defence. Totally (a bit) different than this one though. Pewpewemup v2.0 is in the making though ^^. I have some cool new idea's and it will have tons more content! That means that it will take longer to make though hehe so expect it in about half a month or a bit more ;)
When i play this game, i think the ship absorbs matter from the space as it moves. Teh faster you move, more matter ir absorbs. Later, the crew can use a machine to change that matter into teh upgrades. It´s some fan wank, but i didnt find other way to think speed as a currency.
Ahh, the button, i need to get the achievements for clickng. Lucky for me that i can use the tap function on my note, is easier to use than cliking with a mouse
