Alas, game here doesn't work, but Dr. Insidious is correct that it still works on Newgrounds: https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/518729
Please take some time to play this classic. It has stuck with me for many years now.
Gets extremely hard and RNG dependent at higher levels. I can't get past level 21's Caverns of Chaos - and that was after fighting through previous levels.
Super fun up to that point, though, so I recommend the game!
Caverns of Chaos is supposed to be a hardcore challenge and yes, it is dependent on RNG (but also skill hehe). There's nothing beyond it, though, so if you can't beat it don't feel bad. :)
Sphereland, if anyone is curious, is horrible. Written by a much later writer, it lacks everything Flatland had.
Flatland, however, is one of the greatest books ever.
Once you unlock all the modes, you can use your own mp3 music from a URL. I suggest the music from Flatland: Fallen Angle, which you can find here: http://seethroughstudios.com/wp-content/WkfbNNjXDR/soundtrack.mp3
I could see the second person POV being quite cool and creepy given the right story. The Big Daddies and Little Sisters of bioshock come to mind. That said, I do think the camera needs to keep on the bear better.
