Most important in beginning: Trenches, medic & signaler. Trenches & medic to keep them alive and signaler to cancel airstrikes.
Most important for middle of game: bunkers filled with gunners & snipers. You'll see what i'm talking about.
Rest of the game: once you can afford it, get a tank, put it in front of one of your bunkers, repeat with another tank and another bunker, etc. Last tips, build redundancy, have multiple signalers in multiple bunkers and try to keep a medic in each bunker. That way, even if you loose a whole bunker you can recover. If you get a whole bunch of points and dont see and Germans come on the screen or an "Incoming Arty" announcement, its a sniper wave, hit em with close air support until you think theyre gone. Lastly, ribbons rock, read what they do online, go and get them, use the reset button if you messed up and cant get one you want.
I played his game when it first got on knog awhile ago. The new scouts are cool, cause they let you know when the next wave is coming, but medics are still better crate grabbers, they're more expendable. The AA gun is interesting, but pretty useless. They usually cant shoot down enemy planes unless they have a gun skill of 15 or more, but they usually only come with 10. The aa gunner gets killed just as easily as jeep crews. Oh, and if you put it anywhere near a bunker, it wont fire at ground units. just stick with tanks. Carbine is pretty useless. And that "only able to deploy 100 units per game" rule is sucktastic.
Well done sniper game, amazing art, although the targets and civs get to looking a little repetitive. Do any women walk around on the streets? Also, the plot is a little heavy handed, some more subtlety would be nice. But great game in all. 4/5
I undestand why its called broken mirror, cause everything is broken. The stuff to buy at my starports just flicks through all the different icons in the game. Thats just one among many bugs. Its a shame cause this game could have been really cool.
I used to play a 5 die version of this game with friends. I love this game, although I am curious to know if the computer players are programmed to be "luckier" as they get harder.
From my experience with real dice, it does seem as if the computer is more likely to get something when rolling on one die.
I really like this game. I do wish there was some sort of in-game high score which let you see where you stacked up. (Really, no pun intended, it just happened.)
#1 thing missing, images of the top scoring towers.
Well, of course masturbation is more fun, but thats a "straw-man" argument. Cause this game is pretty wack, so comparing it to masturbation draws a inappropriate comparison.
All in all, work is more fun, and I'm a bookkeeper, so work is pretty wack.
