The only real gripe I have against this game is that the dummy pieces are sometimes only "half-dummies" in that only part of the piece gets unused in the finished puzzle. I feel this makes logic and elimination next to impossible and eventually you just have to trial and error the puzzle >.>
Level 15 is probably the only real offender in terms of requiring too much precision, I clicked the walkthrough after a while and it still took so long -_-
I like the concept and the gameplay quite a bit, but not some of features. For instance, the mutators are a nice idea, but if you hang around on them too long, your bees become irreparably slow, and take waaay too long to get anything done. The damage upgrade is the biggest offender. Your bugs tend to get trapped on those, which would be fine if there weren't levels where they were in the way.
Bard/Shaman combo seems like the way to go. You have pretty damn good healing, crowd control, single target damage, AoE damage as well as Self Ressurection.
The HP detriment of the Xeyed is simply too much, and getting that race going may take three or four deaths to get the upgrades you need to finish the first level. Once you get poison though, the game is a lot easier.
This game is really pretty awesome. There's just the right amount of variety in a unit to change strategies around, as well as many different types of units. The main problem it has is the same problem that the other Protectors had: Towards the end you have enemies with alot of life that give very little exp. This makes it very hard to introduce new towers, and you end up pretty much being screwed since only a few towers get the majority of the xp for the first 10 waves or so. My suggestion would be to work on balancing things more around the gold, and keeping the XP increasing at a steady rate.
Some boss ninjas move too fast and you have to have max fireball and mana upgrades to get brilliant on a level, kind of defeats the point of setting up towers. That being said still a great game, 5/5
This game would be infinitely better if the level system was improved. Make levels fewer and far between, make them count, and ditch the level loss on death bit.
