Well done, simple to grasp from the get-go (and a major plus for no tutorial, by the way). Congratulations, this demonstrates why sometimes less is more. 5/5
Interesting game (although it borrows basically everything from Heroes of Might and Magic), but the toughest battles are unplayable - dead units of your army just pile onto themselves and casting spells on that point is ultimately impossible, even if you aim on a living unit which happen to be standing on a dead one. Also, it needs some sort of rough interface to direct your army - such as Stay or Wait, the AI obligates you to do things no general would think of.
The game s quite interesting, but would become much more enticing with a handful of modifications: research, as a whole, needs revamping - gathered points quickly become useless and the research itself needs prerequisites (i.e if you want, the first technology you develop is the Academy, what makes no sense since your village doesn't have animal breeders or tanners for leather, and that's just an example); materials you buy and sell arrive immediately, as soon as you push a button - transport limitations and different pricing over raw materials would also add flavor to the world; and, once you research everything and have guys operating in all labor fields, there's no point to the game but coming once in a while to sell stuff in the market and gather gold.
Besides being simply addictive and creative, this game has one of what must be the best theme songs I've ever heard. Sometimes I'm doing something else and just let the game running in the background for focus.
