@uberpizza This game omits factors of cover i.e land relief. If you were in a ditch with another man firing at you in real life, i'm pretty sure you would struggle with the concept of sticking your head up to shoot them. Real war has known instances where men have fought 1 metre away from eachother, firing bullets over their cover in vain. Life is not call of duty, buddy.
This game is awesome! Once you get the mechanics down, it's easy to regularly hit wave 100. Here's how you do it:
1. The best terrain is clear terrain! advance your men until you get it.
2. Get an engineer entrench your 4 starters about halfway on the map, get an officer and leave officer and engineer at your side of the map
3. build a bunker behind it, and place a gunner in there. If you get a bad gunner, (rifle under 15) tactical withdraw him and get another one.
4. Give your best rifleman the BAR, and put him behind your trench, but on the middle of the map. Once you can afford it, put a cam net over your officer/engineer.
5. Buy a signaller after this and put him with your officer eng. Regularly sitrep to add experience to your sig. Any soldiers you see with lowish morale, use morale boost. Morale is what gets your soldiers shooting regularly.
6. Get 2 bazookas. MAKE SURE YOU HOLD FIRE UNTIL THEY'RE IN POSITION, WITH YOUR BAR GUY - IF YOU DON'T THEY MIGHT SHOOT YOUR TEAM.
