It feels like this game was written solely as a marketing gimmick, without much thought or effort. I think this game would be more appropriate on the site it advertises, not Kongregate.
There's no music, just two sound effects (one with three tones), the game has no fluidity... I've been playing Bejeweled and Puzzle Quest a lot and I'm struck by the fact that you can only make moves by clicking on source and destination and that the entire board is locked during the resolution of the move. I have to wait for the game to catch up, it feels... and that does not make me happy. 2/5.
Not so much difficulty curve as difficulty staircase... especially when it takes a few attempts to figure out the exact timing/trick. Still, it's a lot easier to work with than several other games I've played (Phage Wars, Dyson/Eufloria, ...).
Oh exploitable... If you can find a way to hold the enemy off without destroying their base, you can keep pumping oil -- even after the well runs dry -- until they run out of units, earning more than enough money to have all research done by level 3, and plenty to Fortress Defense System the other fortress to death in later rounds.

As has been said before, interesting Puzzle Quest clone, but definitely a clone, not original content. (Hell, they even thiefed the "wrong move" sound effect.)
Definitely a decent physics engine, although it is amusing how I can stop on a dime when reversing direction.
Lack of badges, but whatever.
Definitely needs a way to know if you've collected all the stars on a level from the main menu.

I take that back. I gave the game a few more playthroughs, and what's there I'd call /quirks/ more than /bugs/.
You def get stuck at the last screen with no listed way to restart, bounding boxes are... unknown... lives remaining is not visible (nor are score or pages completed), and after about... page 40 or so, you are essentially invincible and really only have to worry about mines, since by that time you max out the upgrades.
Oh, and __more music!__

doesn't cut it.
Aiming is nonintuitive, branding is a minor no-no, allies are generally worthless, game is both repetitive and cliche. Nevertheless, it does passably well; no major major bugs. 2/5
