I had towers lining the path from start to finish and a boss sailed through unharmed. It was okay though; my tower's HP bar turned black and huge (filling up an entire slice of the screen) and I won the level due to the glitch. This is a poorly designed game.
Your upgrade system makes no sense. Why should killing drones make the player more powerful? Why not killing bases? It makes it so a player that spends an hour killing drones on level 1 is unstoppable, but a player who is efficient at killing bases (supposedly the goal) becomes less powerful. The system you are using makes sense for dungeons and dragons, but this is not dungeons and dragons. Give players upgrades at the ends of levels. It will make balancing the game much easier.
The solution to the "You can't collect all the rings and make best time" problem is simply to grade the player based on their time as one measure, and ring-collecting as another. That way, players can aim for best time on one run and rings on another.
I had a weird glitch. At least I think it was a glitch. I had gotten to (but not finished) level 8. I visited the level selection screen, and both 8 and 25 were yellow. The levels before 8 were dark, and the levels between 8 and 25 were light. I played and finished level 25, and I got the "game over congratulations, and all the locked levels unlocked. Is it supposed to happen like this?
I just managed to get from a savepoint to the crystal in the spike-filled cave in the Undersea Caverns and back to the save point without taking a single hit, while the Obtuse Angler is still out, and I didn't get the Undersea Operation award. What more do I need to do?
To kill the worm, buy the dumpster and dumpster dive upgrades, then perform a dumpster dive. Keep holding down during the move and your cart will glow and crash underground. Once there, use the bat to hit the bombs toe worm drops back at it. Damage to the worm remains when you do your jumps later.
It looks like someone saw Death vs. Monstars and decided to copy it with slicker graphics. It looks like they lost a little of the excitement in the process though.
There are a lot of people who scored over 100 but only one person was awarded the hard badge, so clearly the achievements system must be broken because there's no way half the people here are lying. No sir.
