My honest opinions on the new UI: Actually positive, but with some major QA oversights on design efficiency.
1: Pop-up menus are cool, but it should never get in the way of your main focus: How much money you have. Your bottom line on top of the screen should never be blocked.
2: Clarity of information at a glance. Before, there were 4 buttons to hit, and everything was laid out in a bit cramped style, but it was available for viewing at a glance without interfering with your main buisness interface.
3: Too much movement. I understand you thought the campy 1950s aesthetic needed something to make it more interesting, but I've got 10 things all over the screen moving and flashing and demanding my attention. I'm getting a headache from information overload, and that doesn't normally happen. We've already got bars from payout timers moving, we don't need more.
Overall: I like it, but it needs work.
To go with the dead angel counter, perhaps achievements for milestones on the new counter? The achievement names should enforce just how much of a monster people are for using them as fuel.
